Active, connected alumni
Living and working in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor
When Mount Mercy enters a partnership, it does more than just strengthen the university. It strengthens the community. We continue to find ways to benefit our community through work in several impactful programs.
Every day, Mount Mercy works to embody our value of lifelong learning and education of the whole person. We invest in educational opportunities for people at all stages of life, offering programs for children, high schoolers, and seasoned professionals.
The impact is twofold—not only creating more skilled, confident leaders, but giving them the tools they need to create positive change in the community.

With a plethora of active alumni and thriving business community, the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City Corridor is a great place for self-improvement and professional advancement. We work closely with local employers to create opportunities for our students and their employees.
We also offer corporate educational partnerships, providing a 10% tuition discount for individual employees to support your organization’s professional development needs.
The decision to attend college starts early—that’s why we offer Mustang U workshops and courses for local Catholic high school students.
We’re also committed to putting qualified teachers and administrators into the community through workshops and our education programs.
JumpStart’s mission is to inspire Cedar Rapids children to reach their potential by teaching vital lessons in leadership and academics—through the support of mentors and role models—as part of free sports programming at our Robert W. Plaster Athletic Complex.
